Suffolk county lies in the eastern park of East Anglia below Norfolk and above Essex and to the east of Cambridgeshire.

Suffolk is a mostly flat county with very few hills. Its sleepy villages and hamlets are surrounded by beautiful countryside and areas of outstanding natural beauty. There are many period buildings from the famous Suffolk-pink painted cottages to manor houses and country states of the local lords and ladies and the occasional famous TV and film personality.

The county town is Ipswich. Other well known towns include Lavenham, Bury St Edmunds, Long Melford, Sudbury, Lowestoft, Southwold and Aldeburgh to name but a few.

Many famous people have resided in Suffolk from the painters Thomas Gainsborough and John Constable to modern music artist Ed Sheeran.

Visitors to Suffolk can immerse themselves in many activities, both as spectators watching horse racing in Newmarket, Speedway and banger racing at Foxhall Stadium Ipswich, or participants in off-road driving, go kart racing, horesback riding, cycling and taking a boat cruise on one of our many rivers.

For those wanting to explore Suffolk from a different viewpoint there is the Lovejoy tour or the various UFO sighting locations.
