Woodbridge is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Suffolk. Situated by the river Deben, the popular market town is split into three areas popular with visitors.
The first area is down by the river. Here visitors can visit the tide mill or take a stroll along the waters edge taking in the moored house boats or going for a longer river walk.
The second area is known as the thoroughfare. This is a long narrow main street full of quaint independent stores offering a range of goods from locally sourced food and drink to designer clothes, homemade arts and crafts, books and knick-knacks. The local bakers is an award-winning cake shop.
Heading further up the hill takes you to the third popular area of Woodbridge, the market square. From here visitors can visit the local church and market hall, or browse further shops and public houses.
Other sites of interest at Woodbridge include public parks, a large library, churches, a variety of quaint public houses located in period buildings with open fires and real ales on tap.
