Debenham is a large village located in mid-Suffolk known for its antiques shops and popular walks through the local countryside starting and ending in the village.
The village consists of a main street featuring various shops and period buildings, a ford that is usually under water, public toilets, several public houses and a doctors surgery, a police and fire-station serving the local community.
The ford crosses the river Deben, which winds through the village and gives it its name.
Debenham is a popular stop on any tour of Suffolk. Enjoy one of the pleasant circular walks followed by a visit to one of the local cafes or public houses to recharge your batteries before continuing on with your journey.
